Pamplona Roger, Feijoa contains small amounts of Fat and protein, and in greater percentage of carbohydrates. it is quite rich in Vitamin C. It also contains small amounts of B-group vitamins and minerals (folates, iodine), and vegetable fiber its composition is remarkable for these nutrients.

- The feijoa is beneficial to pregnant women because of its richness in folates, iodine, and vegetable fiber.
- Feijoas can help prevent goiter because they’re rich in iodine. Goiter is caused by hypothyroidism, which can result from insufficient iodine in the diet.
- Feijoas help prevent constipation because of their richness in vegetable fiber.
- Due to their richness in vitamin C, feijoas help to provide Immune system support, as they help the body make several types of specialized immune cells that guard against infection, improving the function of these cells.
