Feijoa and apple chilli chutney is a condiment made by combining fruits, typically feijoas and apples with chilli peppers, spices, vinegar, and sugar. The fruits provide a sweet base, while the chili peppers add heat and spice, creating a balanced and flavorful chutney. Ingredients

  • 1.5kg Feijoas chopped (dont peel)
  • 500g chopped apples. (dont peel)
  • 3 onions finely chopped
  • 1 Fresh chilli finely chopped or chilli jar jar
  • 1litre Malt vinegar
  • 750g Brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp all spices
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp crushed garlic
  • 1 lemon zest and juice
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Cloves

Method

Step 1

place all the ingredients in a large sauce pan and boil slowly approximately 1 to 1½ Hours and stir occasionally.

Finely chopped basil is really nice as well. just chop fine and add as much as you like.
