Feijoa and orange fluff are types of dessert salads that are light, sweet, and often served at gatherings like potlucks or family dinners. They combine a feijoa fruit and orange, whipped topping, and other sweet ingredients to create a fluffy, creamy treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 feijoas
  • Water
  • ½ Teaspoon Grated orange rind
  • 3 to 4 Tablespoons orange juice
  • ¼ Cup sugar
  • 1½ Tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
  • 1 egg white

Method

Step 1

Peel the feijoas, and slice roughly. then put them in a pan with clean water.

Step 2

Cover the pan and bring to the boil. simmer for a few minutes until pulpy. stir in the orange rind and juice. sweeten to taste with sugar.

Step 3

stir in the tapioca and bring to the boil. cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes or until it clears. Allow to cool.

Step 4

Whisk the egg white until stiff, fold into the cool mixture. pile into serving glasses and chill
