Feijoa baked pudding is a dessert dish made by layering feijoas, often sliced or chopped, with a mixture of eggs, milk, sugar and other ingredients. The pudding is then baked until the fruit is tender and the custard-like mixture has set.
Ingredients
- 1 cup peeled, chopped feijoas.
- 1 cup flour
- 1 Teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ Cup sugar
- 1 Egg
- 3 Oz Butter melted
- ½ Teaspoon Grated lemon rind
Method
Step 1
Measure the feijoas after peeling and chopping into small pieces. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and stir into it the sugar.
Step 2
Beat the egg and melt the butter and pour them into the flour. Bear Well.
Step 3
Add the grated rind and feijoas to the batter and stir in.
Step 4
Pour into a well-buttered 7 to 8-inch square tin and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350 degrees and cook for about another 30 minutes.
Step 5
Serve hot.
