Ingredients

  • 1 Kg feijoas remove stalk, don't peel just chop up
  • 2 Granny smith apples
  • 2 chopped red onions
  • 500g pitted prunes
  • 300g currants
  • 250g sugared ginger
  • 2 chopped cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp gated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 Kg sugar (can use less if wished0
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 3 cups malt vinegar
  • 1 tsp each of cayenne pepper, all spice, mixed spice and five spice

Method

Step 1

Simmer all together for an hour and then cool

Store in airtight sterilized jars, wax and seal.
